In my defence I have been terribly busy doing extremely important work for the European Space Agency. This beer isn't going to drink itself you know.... Anyway, through the wonders of modern technology, you can now track our route through Europe and Africa almost live, on the Challenge page.

  • For the technically minded: we will be using a GPS to get our location, and then sending an SMS to an email gateway based in the UK, which then sends an email to a server, that hosts a collection of waypoints and displays them in Google maps.

  • For everyone else: Look! Pretty pictures!

Now all we need are some jerry cans to hold some water and we're all set...

We have a car!! see update on the car page :)

    1st July

After the (mostly) successful European MegaTrip last year, wNice game of 'spot the prop'hich took in twelve countries in twelve days, we have decided to take on a bigger challenge - across the Sahara Desert! This time, our budget has doubled to £100 for the car, so it should all go swimmingly, especially if Hugh takes the wrong turning and we end up in the Atlantic.

We don't actually yet have a car as such but it will be a trusty 300-series Volvo again, hopefully this time with the added bonus of a fully working propshaft!

This website is, and probably shall continue to be, Work In Progress, once we have a car things might, ahem, get moving.
